""Second release for the promising Rump Recordings label, after 2004's initial release, the debut album from Rumpistol. 'Rump Comp Volume One', is a collection of tracks from various newcomers (oRfeUs and Melk) and experienced, established artists (Manual & Syntaks and Prinz Ezo) showcasing the best in Danish electronic music." 9/10 "
"Denmark's eminently likeable Rump Recordings has seen fit to assemble this rather lovely collection of their favourite Scandinavian electronica, providing an excellent showcase for the label. The first side features contributions from Karsten Pflum, Rune Grammofon graduate Skyphone (with a gorgeous piece of acoustic-electronica) and Sofus Forsburg, whose warm, snappy programming kicks the record off with the aptly named 'Hallo'. The second continues in a similar vein with established big hitters like Manual & Syntaks laying their balmy electronic wares next to lesser-known talents like Theodor Zox, Rumpistol/Sortie and oRfeUs. A particularly well-suited companion release to this week's excellent Badun long-player. Lovely stuff."
"Each band produced tracks with a bit of that characteristic Nordic melancholic vibe but giving their personal interpretation of the initial request by focusing the structure on rhythm, melody, atmosphere or a mixture of the three. Bleeps, alternative dance, electronic experimentations and a bit of melancholy will entertain you for about one hour."
