New Release From Heidi Mortenson
Today we're premiering the first single "Dele Af Kroppen" from Heidi Mortenson's upcoming EP "Mørk" (meaning "dark/gloomy")
The horn-driven song is exclusively available for stream and has already been chosen as Song of the Day from UK-magazine The Line Of Best Fit, who says about the track:
"while I’ve no idea what she’s singing about, there is definitely a sense of (slightly warped) tradition; perhaps of a particularly unpleasant Danish fairy story, set to a lurching, skitty industrial score. It’s equal parts Brothers Grimm and Soap & Skin – brash, disturbing, and oddly compulsive."
After living in Berlin for 7 years, Heidi Mortenson has recently relocated to Denmark, and has produced the first release done entirely in her native tongue. as she says:
"The music is inspired by a bleak and dark time, time in a stagnant chaos. Mørk is a landmark of my earlier works, but the sound and aesthetics are radically different. It is more analogue, mature, and, interestingly, the texts are in Danish. I feel it's a whole new beginning for me."
It's definitely a great pleasure to welcome Heidi Mortenson to Rump, and there's no doubt that "Mørk" will be one of the strong releases of 2012.
The EP "Mørk" will be released the 5th of March, 2012 on CD, 10" vinyl and Digital.

Quasi Dub Development have just been nominated for the Danish GAFFA Award in the category Best Danish Electronic Release ("Årets Danske Elektroniske Udgivelse") for their album Limousine To The Guillotine.
